Condition: Lower corners very slightly bumped, small crease to the upper right, minor surface grime in the lower right area, overall in very good condition. Framed behind glass.

Notes: This photograph was most probably taken for Vogue. Cecil Beaton first began working for Vogue in 1927 with contributions of photographs and illustrations, becoming a staff photographer for British Vogue in 1931. Throughout the 1940s, Beaton remained an influential fashion photographer for British Vogue while simultaneously serving as an official war photographer for the Ministry of Information—producing some of the most memorable images of wartime Britain.
