Condition: In very good condition. Minor frame abrasions (especially along the lower edge), minor surface grime. Framed.

Notes: Jan Rijlaarsdam is known for lively impressionistic cityscapes and depictions of city life ranging from bar scenes to industrial suburbs. His works feature prostitutes, street vendors and beggars, musicians and occasional strollers. As the medium of choice served him a palette knife which allowed him to create thick overlapping layers of paint, giving the works more volume.
