Condition: Creased, a small stain in the centre, traces of wear corresponding with age, otherwise apparently in good condition, unexamined out of the frame. Framed behind glass.

Notes: The mother of the present owner of the t-shirt was an employee of the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. Over the years of working at the institution, she developed a friendly relationship with Keith Haring. The Angel is one of the Christian symbols revisited by the artist. In Haring's iconology it represents hope, spirituality but also the complexity of life and death.
