Condition: Spots of surface grime in places, superficial scratches in the upper left corner, in good condition. Framed.

Notes: Pieter de Haard was trained as an artist in Rotterdam and Munich. He was fascinated by the connection between the metaphysical and scientific. His interests in philosophy, mathematics, space and infinity are reflected in numerous paintings. At the height of De Haard's career, from 1946 onwards, his compositions became more mathematical and less colourful.
